Completed quilt will be set on point and measures approximately 60" x 60".
Each week a downloadable block pattern will arrive in your inbox and will represent one of the provinces or territories in Canada.
Each completed block will earn you points in your hiking passport. Earn extra points for hiking steps too. More details to follow.
Fill in your passport to get a chance to win prizes along the way. Complete the whole program by September 25th, 2022 and your name will be entered in a draw to win a Mystery Canada FQ Bundle & Pattern
We will be hosting the sew-along in our virtual classroom. PDF Block patterns will be emailed to you weekly starting June 12.
The Setting Layout and finishing fabric requirements will be sent at the beginning of the program, so that you can play around with where you would like your blocks to sit in the design.

Fabric Requirements:
Each block is traditionally pieced using colours representative of the provincial/territorial flowers
Fabric for the flowers: 12-15 Fat Quarters
Background for the Blocks: 1.5 M
Fabric to finish quilt top:
Sashing: 1.5 M
Setting Triangles: 1.5 M (recommended: Canadian Road Trip in white or black)
Cornerstones: 1 Fat Quarter (0.25M)

Skill Details: | Students will have strong sewing skills and are familiar with quilting terminology. Students will have a good understanding of block construction and block units such as HSTs, flying geese, stitch and flip, scant 1/4" seams. |
