2023 Beginner Friendly Sampler
Join Carolyn in our bright, spacious sewing classroom to learn how to quilt.
She will take you through the steps of cutting your fabrics, sewing straight seams, creating blocks. The final class she will share tips and tricks for adding sashing, and borders.
Each week you will learn new techniques and create blocks. Yes, there will be homework.
Week 1: 6 hours
- basic sewing machine terminology
- seam allowance
- four-patch block construction
Week 2: 4 hours
- straight seams, four and nine patch block construction
Week 3: 4 hours
- half-square triangle (HST)
Week 4: 4 hours
- sashing, rows and borders
